Chava (pronounced Hava) is a graduate of Columbia University and has over 10 years of experience as a teacher working with students of all ages. In January 2003, she and her husband, Craig, were students in a Bradley Method® childbirth class in Jacksonville, Florida that culminated in the natural unmedicated birth of their daughter Lia Simone in April, 18 days past her "due date." She received Provisional Affiliation status with the American Academy for Husband Coached Childbirth (AAHCC) in May 2004 after attending the AAHCC training seminar in Washington D.C. in November 2003 and completing all academic requirements, research and observations for certification. Additional training and special certifications in Anatomy and Physiology of Labor and in Breastfeeding Education were completed at the National Bradley Teacher Conference (B.I.R.T.H.S.) held in California in July of 2004. She is very proud of the students in her first class, which began in June of 2004, for their dedication and hard work and is looking forward to taking the final exam to acheive full certification as a Bradley Method® instructor. She is very happy to be resettled in New York and to getting involved in pregnancy and birth education in the New York metropolitan community.
Craig is the proud father of Lia Simone, whose birth was his spectacular coaching debut. He received Provisional Affiliation status with the American Academy for Husband Coached Childbirth (AAHCC) in May 2004 and will be teaching portions of Bradley Method® childbirth classes with his wife, Chava.
